The Partnership has recently launched two additional mobile enforcement vans to support the current van which operates at the twenty two existing mobile camera sites. Not only will the vans have an increased presence at these sites but they will also operate at thirty additional mobile camera sites. All mobile sites will now display permanent signage, examples of those you could see are shown below.

Of the thirty new sites operating across Merseyside, there will be twelve within the Liverpool local authority, six in the Wirral local authority, four within the Sefton local authority, four within the Knowsley local authority and four within the St Helens local authority. As with the existing mobile sites, these locations have been identified in accordance with Department for Transport guidelines as high risk roads due to evidence of high speeds and a high number of collisions resulting in casualties.
It has now been possible to compare the number of collisions and casualties recorded at new mobile camera sites between April 2007 and March 2008. In addition speed surveys at these sites have been compared between December 2006 and 2008.
