A woman was injured in a car crash which blocked a busy road in Wirral causing rush hour tailbacks. The two vehicles, a blue Honda and black Peugeot collided at 5pm yesterday in Mount Road, Birkenhead. Police had to call for a tow vehicle to lift one of the cars clear of the road. Traffic was only allowed to flow in one direction until then causing delays for motorists.  It was almost an hour before the road was properly open to traffic again.
